Enhanced features improve handling and transport
Acton, Massachusetts, June 2004 - For better handling and identification of cryogenically preserved cells and compounds, Corning Life Sciences has further enhanced its line of cryogenic storage products with a more durable storage box for 1.2 to 5.0 mL vials.
The polycarbonate boxes and lids have side ridges for easier gripping and handling while wearing gloves. The enhanced features also include a sturdier, integrated vial divider that keeps vials upright for easy lid placement and transport of vials. The reusable boxes hold either eighty-one or one hundred vials.
Prior improvements to Corning Internal and External Thread Cryogenic Vials include RNase- and DNase-free certification, black graduations for quicker volume identification, and a larger marking spot for sample identification. Packaging improvements include a resealable bag with embossed lot numbers for easier, more secure storage and sample traceability as well as multilanguage product use guidelines.
Corning offers 1.2 mL, 2.0 mL, 4.0 mL, and 5.0 mL vials with round or conical bottoms and with either silicone washers or rubber O-rings. Self-standing vials have a special base design and can be locked into Corning racks and trays.
