Clifford L. Hund joined Corning in 1973 as a process engineer in the refractories plant in Buckhannon, W. Va. Since then he has served in a broad range of roles and functions including engineering, product development, strategic planning and analysis, sales and marketing. He has worked with many different businesses across Corning, most notably optical fiber. Since August of 2003, he has been division vice president, Sales and Marketing, Corning Optical Fiber.
Effective in October 2007, Hund is appointed general manager and president Corning International KK. In this new role, he'll provide corporate business development and commercial technology leadership for all businesses in Japan with the exception of Display Technologies.
Hund received a bachelor's degree in ceramic engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering and a master’s in business administration from Syracuse University. He holds two U.S. patents.
