Downloading Files - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Adobe Acrobat PDFs

There are two methods to download a PDF file in Microsoft Internet Explorer:

Method One: Downloading within the Adobe Acrobat Viewer

Left clicking on the PDF File Link will launch Adobe Acrobat Viewer and the PDF file will open in the browser. At this point, the PDF file can be read, but it has not been downloaded to your computer.

To download the PDF, click the Disk icon in the Adobe toolbar. This will open the standard "Save As..." window or your computer, at which time you choose a location to save the file.

Note: Do not use the File menu in the Internet Explorer toolbar. This will save the PDF file as a different file format and cause an error whenever the file is opened.

Method Two: Right Clicking on the PDF File Link

Right-clicking on the PDF File Link link will open this menu:

With the pop-up menu open, click on "Save Target As..." in the menu. This will open the standard "Save As..." window or your computer, at which time you choose a location to save the file.

CAD Drawings (DXF & IGES) and Other Files

CAD Drawings and image files can be saved to your local hard drive by right-clicking on the link and selecting "Save Target As...". This will open the standard "Save As..." window on your computer, at which time you choose a location to save the file.
