Corning European Technology Center (CETC)

The Corning European Technology Center (CETC) in France was the first non-US-based research and development facility established by Corning. Having celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2008, CETC is well-positioned to deliver industry-advancing glass expertise. CETC conducts a wide array of research to support all of Corning's market segments and is credited with numerous innovations, including photochromic lenses for the ophthalmic industry, glass ceramic cooktops, and functional surfaces for the life sciences industry.

Along with Corning Technology Center, CETC has developed special analytical capabilities to enable creative problem solving. Serving as the technology gateway for Corning’s research, development, and engineering efforts in support of its European-based businesses, CETC also aids in fostering new business development globally and carries out exploratory research for longer-range opportunities. CETC is part of a worldwide team dedicated to discovering new methods for melting and forming glass.
