About Us

Corning Display Technologies is a worldwide leader in glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs), also known as thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs). Our premium-quality substrates are used in LCD televisions, notebook computers, flat-panel desktop monitors, and portable electronic and communications devices.

How We Are Helping to Shape the Display Industry
  • We have been a consistent worldwide leader in the growth and development of large-generation glass substrates.

  • As the only LCD glass made without adding heavy metals or halides, Corning's EAGLE XG™ display glass is the most environmentally friendly substrate available. The advanced properties of EAGLE XG glass allow display manufacturers to produce lighter, larger, thinner, and higher resolution displays more affordably.
  • The foundation of our LCD substrate technology is our proprietary fusion process, which we invented and have continued to improve upon. This highly scalable process enables pristine glass substrates with superior optical properties, process attributes, and uniform thickness – key qualities for optimal performance in large displays.
  • With manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, Japan, the United States, and in Korea through our joint-equity company Samsung Corning Precision Glass (SCP), as well as a new facility opening in China in 2008, we are strategically positioned to deliver a reliable supply of high-quality LCD glass substrates to the industry.
  • We offer unmatched customer support, with technical services that include computer simulation modeling, process design assistance, and on-site consulting, helping our customers find new solutions for enhancing cost efficiency, throughput, and yield.
