We developed the GPO™ interconnect series in the late 1980s to answer an industry wide need for a higher performance, higher density, lower weight, user friendly high frequency coaxial connector.

The design utilizes a PTFE (trade name Teflon) filled interface designed around a hybrid of the 2.4mm interface. It incorporates a floating 'blindmateable adapter' (often referred to as a 'bullet') which is captivated between two panel or circuit mounted receptacles (called shrouds).

The GPO™ interconnect floating design presents several unique features.

• Accommodation of 0.020" radial and 0.010" axial misalignment.
• Center to center spacing of under 0.170" available.
• Lightweight blindmate at only 0.17 grams.
