What are the key advantages of Corning Gilbert's GRS 3 piece broadband connector?
Corning Gilbert's GRS 3 piece connector has long been the industry gold standard for broadband connectors. The GRS connector features separate tightening mechanisms for the center conductor and the outer conductor. This design enables the back-nut tightening mechanisms to be used to compensate for cable size variation allowing the installer to firmly secure the connector to the cable. This feature helps avoid suck out issues caused by under-sized cable. The GRS series provides no blind entry enabling ease of installation, extremely high reliability and a 40-year proven track record of performance.

What are the key advantages of Corning Gilbert's G2 2 piece connector?
The Corning Gilbert two piece features the advantages of a no-blind entry connector. The installer can visibly see the center conductor during installation enabling visible verification that the center conductor is going into the seizing mechanism. This insures adequate electrical contact every time. This avoids time consuming disassembly and reassembly caused by lack of contact between the connector pin and the center conductor. The G2 also features a tri-start thread that allows for extremely fast installation.

I have my cable selected, how do I know which connector goes with it?
You need to know the cable manufacturer, the generation of cable (PI, PII, PIII, etc.) or type, cable size and the type of connector desired e.g. (pin, splice, extension, "F" female/male, terminator, etc). Once you have this information, you can refer to our product information sheets for GRS, G2 or other products. The catalog numbers on these product information sheets are organized so that you can choose the appropriate product. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact technical assistance.
