Bend the rules.

The world of fiber optics just turned a major corner. Historically, optical fiber was known to suffer from signal loss when bent tightly. That hurdle is history. Working with telecom industry visionaries and leveraging 30 years of interactions with technical field personnel at service providers around the world, Corning has developed the ClearCurve® optical fiber family.

  • Corning® ClearCurve® single-mode optical fiber is hundreds of times more bendable than standard single-mode fiber. It’s now economically feasible to deliver the high speed services customers crave to 680 million apartment homes worldwide. More
  • Corning® ClearCurve® OM3/OM4 multimode fiber is the world’s first laser-optimized multimode fiber to withstand tight bends at or below 10 mm radius with substantially less signal loss than traditional multimode fiber. Now, Corning takes the benefits of bend into a whole new area: data centers and enterprise networks. More
