I joined Corning in 2004, and I must confess that at first I had little understanding of the nature of the company. I was initially drawn to Corning because of the benefits here. To me, that showed Corning to be a place worth working for, somewhere that really looks after its employees.

The past seven years at Corning have passed in the blink of an eye. I like the fact that working for a technology company, I’m always busy and engaged. I’m also learning a lot about time management! But the company has been very supportive, providing many tools to help me learn, and assisting me in expanding my horizons.

Corning provides an excellent training environment for anyone new to the company. People really are the most important asset here, and speaking from my own experience, I’ve been sent on all kinds of training programs to help me develop both strong technical and interpersonal skills.

I feel like I’m in control of my own destiny here. And because I enjoy working here, I feel driven to create even more success for myself. The company is very good at encouraging its people to explore their own path, find out what they enjoy and go after it, knowing that each person’s individual role contributes to a strong and successful company.
