Since childhood I have been fascinated by manufacturing things. Converting raw material into something useful and value added gives me an immense sense of achievement.

It was with his spirit and experience in automotive and agricultural engineering that I joined Corning. The words “kid in a candy store” best describe the first few months at Corning.  An overwhelmingly complex process tuned to perfection by years of research into fundamental understanding of glass was motivating. The support from peers and encouragement to ask questions made the learning curve memorable.

The core values which are “lived” every single day and the “ask why?” approach to learning have had a lasting impact on my development as a person.

At Corning, I have now transitioned from an engineering role to a supervisory role. It has opened more avenues for guiding others along the path of innovation, fundamental understanding and pushing the boundaries of “current knowledge”. For me, Corning has been a fulfilling journey complete with autonomy and purpose.
