Hands-On Installation Technology Course for Multimode Optical Local Area Networks
Description
TS LAN 400 is a four-day course that prepares craftsmen for all aspects of fiber optic cable installation in a local area network environment. Cable placement, fusion and mechanical splicing, cable termination (connector installation and pigtail splicing) and acceptance testing are taught with extensive hands-on practice. Students build, test and troubleshoot a complete multimode system in this class. Also covered is the use of equipment, hardware and procedures pertaining to building distribution and campus applications.

BICSI Continuing Education Credit (CEC): 21 hours = RCDD®; 15 hours = Installer;
18 hours = Technician; 21 hours = Certified Trainer
Class Size: Maximum of 12 students
Class Time: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Termination methods for field-installable connectors, pigtails and preconnectorized assemblies

Installing the Corning Cable Systems multimode UniCam® SC, ST® Compatible and LC Connectors, in addition to anaerobic connectors

Fusion splicing with the Corning Cable Systems OptiSplice® One and M90e (and/or OptiSplice CDS) Fusion Splicers: features and troubleshooting tips

Discounts and Cancellation Policy: Late cancellations and class no-shows for registered students will incur charges.
