Fiber Optic Training Program
Corning Cable Systems has developed a comprehensive, integrated training program to meet the needs of designers, installers and users of fiber optic products. Courses are structured for each application's unique needs: telecommunications, cable television, access, local and wide area networks, wireless networks, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and power utilities.
Our training program offers a challenging curriculum based on Corning's extensive product, engineering and installation experience. Standard courses are scheduled throughout the year at our regional training facilities in Hickory, NC; Keller, TX; Irvine, CA; and Corning, NY; and at selected locations across the country. Customized classes and classes taught at customer locations are always available as well, with minimum attendees.
Our goal is to prepare students to be successful in their work, whether that is selecting or installing fiber optic products or designing systems. Our installation instructors share their real-world knowledge of products and techniques gained through extensive experience working in the field. Our design instructors are the same engineers who assist customers with their system designs every day. Consider your instructor your coach whose primary goal is to help you succeed!

Lots of hands-on – installation classes are primarily hands-on practice constructing and testing systems with real products; design classes include interactive case studies where students collaborate on real-world designs.

Certification Exams
Corning Cable Systems installation classes are approved by both the Electronics Technician Association International (ETA®) and the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) for a Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) certification. Click here for more details.
