The European Union (EU) has passed two directives, commonly known as RoHS and WEEE. These directives apply to any product sold to or used in the European market that can be considered a piece of "electrical and electronic equipment" or a part thereof. It is Corning Cable Systems' understanding that many of its products are not impacted by the legislations.
