Corning Cable Systems Introduces Innovative LANscape® Plug & Play™ AnyLAN™ Systems Components
Time-saving benefits of AnyLAN Systems are enhanced by closure, integrated hardware and Industrial LSZH™ Cable option
Hickory, NC, December 08, 2009 – Corning Cable Systems LLC, part of Corning Incorporated’s (NYSE:GLW) Telecommunications segment, continues to expand its innovative Plug & Play™ AnyLAN™ Systems by introducing three new components to the solution: the AnyLAN Ruggedized Zone Enclosure, the AnyLAN Integrated Single-Panel Housing and the AnyLAN Integrated 1U Housing. These innovations further enable the deployment of certain system components in less than a minute, while ensuring high levels of quality and reliability.
The Ruggedized Zone Enclosure combines the AnyLAN OptiTip™ adapter with an environmentally-sealed closure for quick and easy deployment, eliminating the need for field-terminated fiber optic cables. The enclosure is fully compatible with existing Plug & Play AnyLAN Systems solutions and is ideal for easy installation of point-to-multi-point architectures in any location.
The 12- or 24-fiber AnyLAN Integrated Single-Panel Housing utilizes OptiTip adapters in the small-profile single-panel housing for increased ease-of-deployment, while eliminating the need for field termination and cable strain relief. The compact unit is ideal for use inside NEMA-rated and IP-rated enclosures and other environments where space is a premium.
The 24-fiber AnyLAN Integrated 1U housing also incorporates OptiTip adapters within a 1U rack-mountable housing for quick and easy deployment, eliminating the need for field termination and cable strain relief. The factory-terminated housing provides industry-leading quality and reliability, while eliminating the time, resources and expertise required for field-termination methods.
In addition to the hardware and closure innovations, the distribution trunk for Plug & Play AnyLAN Systems is now available in a tray-rated Industrial LSZH™ Cable option. This completes the LSZH offering across the AnyLAN product set as the ruggedized zone enclosure and direct trunk are already available with tray-rated LSZH cables.
