Philips IntelliVue Smart-hopping Network
with the EC560 Solution

/uploadedImages/Cable_Systems/NAFTA/Assets/Images/Philips_v1.jpgThe Philips IntelliVue Smart-hopping Wireless Medical Telemetry System (WMTS) network in the 1.4 GHz band provides reliable two-way communications between Philips IntelliVue patient monitors and the IntelliVue Information Center. The EC560 Solution, added to the MobileAccess2000 in-building wireless coverage platform, integrates with Philips' IntelliVue Smart-hopping WMTS network alongside other wireless services that enable life-critical mobile applications that improve patient care, as well as productivity and operational efficiency for the hospital staff.

The MobileAccess2000 in combination with the EC560 Solution delivers reliable connectivity to Philips IntelliVue Smart-hopping WMTS network along with cellular voice and data services from multiple operators, in addition to applications that require Ethernet backhaul and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), on a single wire-it-once infrastructure.

The Open MobileAccess2000 Platform with the EC560 Solution:

  • Establishes one, cost-effective multi-service, multi-operator infrastructure that delivers radio frequency (RF) coverage for: 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless voice and data services, as well as paging, public safety, WMTS, and Ethernet based services
  • Ensures that a Philips Smart-hopping WMTS network deployment across the MobileAccess2000 architecture mirrors the behavior and coverage foot print of a conventional, discreet Philips Smart-hopping WMTS network
  • Distributes costs of WMTS coverage across a single, multi-purpose infrastructure that delivers wireless services in the hospital
  • Lowers operational costs and eliminates the disruption associated with entering hospital ceiling when installing, maintaining, or upgrading multiple networks and their associated antennas
