Broadband Stimulus

The Broadband Stimulus, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, provided $7.2 billion for broadband deployments in unserved and underserved areas. The Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utility Service (RUS) and the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) have been selected to administer the funds under their Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) and Broadband Technologies Opportunity Program (BTOP).
