Corning Cable Systems introduces the LANS system, an innovative cabling solution for Local Area Networks applications. LANS provides a high level of flexibility and modularity for a wide range of intra- and inter-building cabling systems.
The LANS system design allows configurations for different connectivity for fibre optic and copper links. The system provides solutions for pre-terminated cable assemblies, field installed connectors as well as pigtail splicing.
The LANS adapter and connector modules enable a free combination of multimode and single-mode fibres with various connector types as well as RJ45 or S1200-based copper ports in one patch panel. Single-fibre port adapters are equipped with high-quality ceramic ferrules for high-performance interconnects.
The LANS patch panel housings for 1RU (rack units) and 2RU feature tilting slidable patch panels for easy access to connector and splice cassettes during installation and operation.
The LANS system is complemented with Pretium UniCam® connectors in combination with tight buffer (TB3) cables with Corning bend-insensitive ClearCurve® optical fibre for fast and easy high-quality field termination for wide temperature ranges. Fusion splicing is made easy with Corning Loose Tube or Central Tube Cables and pre-assembled splice kits with colour-coded pigtails.
