The North Carolina Department of Labor presented Corning facilities with several awards to recognize outstanding safety performance.
- Hickory Cable Facility – Silver award
- Corning Cable Systems Headquarters, Hickory – Gold award plus four million hours without a lost time injury
- Optical Assembly Plant – Silver award
- Wilmington Optical Fiber Facility – Silver
- Concord Optical Fiber Facility – Silver
The Taiwan government recognized Corning Display Technology facilities in Taichung & Tainan with a “Healthy Workplace Award” to recognize good safety and health performance and activities to promote health and wellness programs.
