Corning lists as a top corporate citizen
What you do is just as important as how you do it. This is a philosophy Corning uses in business and for the communities where it operates. That’s why Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) Magazine placed Corning among the top 10 U.S.-based companies in “CRO’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2008” list.
CRO’s list—which ranked Corning sixth—was compiled by measuring companies against eight categories: Climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights, lobbying and philanthropy. Corning placed among the top 40 companies in two categories. They were employee relations and the environment.
