Disposable Large Volume Spinner Flasks Provide Versatile and Economical Options for Scale Up of Suspension Cell Cultures October 2007
In this poster, we describe the advantages of Corning's newest vessel, the disposable spinner flask, which is designed to be single use with no assembly required. In this study, disposable spinner vessels were optimized using mammalian and insect sell lines. We assessed a variety of metabolic parameters as well as cell yield and viability under the various conditions. The performance of supension cell culture grown in disppsable and glass spinner vessels were compared.

Large Scale Growth of Cells for Cell Based Assays Using the Corning® HYPERFlask™ Vessel April 2007
Large Scale Growth of Cells for Cell Based Assays Using the Corning® HYPERFlask™ Vessel presented at 2007 SBS Annual Meeting.

Automated Processing of Cell Cultures on the Tecan® Freedom EVO® Robotic Workstation January 2007
This poster establishes automated cell harvesting and plating methods for different cell lines on a Tecan® Freedom EVO® robotic workstation. It shows that variation derived from liquid dispensing and measurement methodology were minor in comparison to those originating from indistinct cell suspension characteristics. It also shows that there are no significant differences in harvesting results between manual and robotic processing.
