Glendale, AZ, October 21, 2005 – Corning Gilbert, a subsidiary of Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW), today announced that it will open a new microwave customer service center in Vordingborg, Denmark on November 1st, 2005. The customer service center will be operated out of Corning Gilbert’s subsidiary, Corning Cabelcon.

We believe our European customers will be delighted with the high levels of responsive support available through Cabelcon.”

The customer service team, consisting of six representatives and a customer service manager has undergone extensive training in the microwave product line. They currently support Cabelcon’s and Corning Gilbert’s CATV and wireless product lines and will now also be covering the complete microwave product line.

The Danish customer service team will be taking inquiries and entering orders, and will be able to provide timely inquiry responses and order entry. Orders placed through the Cabelcon customer service team will be drop shipped to customers from Corning Gilbert’s facility in Glendale, Arizona. Additionally, the team will offer email and phone support to customers and international sales representatives in their requests for order status, marketing materials, returns and some technical assistance.
