Glendale, AZ, September 7, 2005 – Corning Gilbert, a subsidiary of Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) has announced its expansion into the Asian market by signing on New Tech Venture Pte. Ltd., as its exclusive sales manufacturer’s rep in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

According to the terms of the agreement, New Tech Venture will act as Corning Gilbert’s exclusive sales representative in the territory set forth for the RF and Microwave product lines of Corning Gilbert. “We are looking forward to increasing support provided to our Microwave and RF frequency equipment manufacturers in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia,” said Carolyn Case, vice president of business development, Corning Gilbert.

New Tech Venture Pte Ltd was founded in 2003 by Mr. Vincent Goh, who has over 15 years of experience in the defense and telecommunication industries. Prior to forming New Tech Venture, Mr. Goh was the Managing Director of Hi-Tech Business Associates Pte Ltd which represented Agilent Technologies and was in the distribution business of RF/Microwave components since 1992. Under Mr. Goh’s direction, the company experienced substantial growth in the RF/Microwave components business, especially in increasing the number of sales requirement from the government and military segments.

Corning Gilbert has been selling directly to the markets of Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia until recently and is expecting sales to increase with the presence of a local representative. “Customers always like to make their purchases through an authorized agent of Corning Gilbert,” said Mr. Goh.
