To address the need of identifying which connector belongs to which customers, most cable systems use a certain type of tagging system. This is crucial when verifying which customer's service to connect or disconnect. In response to the need for a more accurate and easier identification, Corning Gilbert developed a drop connector that carries a unique ID number on each connector. The UltraEase^TM ID connector is available in the same four cable sizes as UltraEase^TM connectors. To continue the ease of use history, the same color coding as the standard UltraEase^TM connector is applied to the UltraEase^TM ID connector. Through the use of the new Corning Gilbert UltraEase^TM ID connectors instead of the traditional tags, a significant cost savings can be realized.
