Employees beautify school

Children in Shanghai, China who attend the Minghang Candle Light School—which receives no governmental funding—are now able to enjoy freshly painted walls and hundreds of new books thanks to 44 Corning employees and their family members. 
For two days, volunteers who were invited to give back to their community by Corning China’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee spent their weekend repainting three class rooms. After adding final touches to the classrooms by painting cartoons and numbers on the walls, the volunteers setup a library for the students by using nearly 600 books that were donated by the CSR Committee.
