Environmental Seminars

Corning's Corporate Environmental Control group sponsors internal environmental seminars for the environmental specialists who work at Corning facilities. The purpose of the seminars is to deliver a consistent message regarding our environmental mission and vision across all business units and geographic locations within Corning Incorporated. The seminars also provide a venue for professional training, networking and the sharing of environmental best management practices across the company.

There are annual seminars held in three world regions to facilitate participation by employees in all locations. The 12th annual Europe and Africa seminar was held on April 2008 in Madrid, Spain and was attended by 46 participants. The 5th annual Asia Pacific Environmental Seminar was held on May 2008 in Shanghai, China and was attended by 66 participants from China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. In September 2007 the 23rd annual North American seminar was held at Corning's Corporate Headquarters in Corning, New York. This seminar was attended by 70 environmental specialists from Corning's North American facilities.

Corning will continue to conduct environmental seminars annually to further solidify our commitment to excellent environmental stewardship at all Corning facilities around the world.
